Effects of Celiac Disease on Learning LIMITED
Feedback form is now closed.
Limited Capacity seats available

In 2010, I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease and have recently became a Celiac Patient Advocate    Although all my foods are gluten free I still have some side affects from this disease.  Many children (students) have been diagnosed with this disease and it could affect their learning.  Parents are their student's best advocate.   They often rely on teachers for their support to help their student at school.  As a teacher with this condition I am aware of what it can be like to not always feel well throughout the day.   Attendees will learn the common symptoms, how to include food experiences in the classroom and what a classroom teacher can do to support the student.  Also there will be a gluten free treat to take with them.
